VTSS Will Not Arm

Possible Causes:

Testing

  1. With the DRBIII(R), check that the Theft Alarm is enabled. Was the Theft Alarm enabled? If yes, go to next step. If no, with the DRBIII(R), enable the Vehicle Theft Security System VTSS. Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST  .
  2. Ensure the tailgate, flip-up glass and all doors are closed. With the DRBIII(R), read the active DTC's and the ajar switch states. Does the DRBIII(R) display any closed switches or VTSS related DTC's? If yes, see DOOR AJAR  or VEHICLE THEFT/SECURITY  for related problems. Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST  . If no, replace the Body Control Module. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  .
