Lower Control Arm: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. If equipped with ABS brakes remove sensor wire from the inboard side of the arm.
  3. If the vehicle is equipped with a cam bolt service package paint or scribe alignment marks on the cam adjusters and suspension arm for installation reference. See Fig 1 .

    3 - BRACKET REINFORCEMENT
    4 - LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
  4. Remove the lower suspension arm nut and bolt from the axle. See Fig 2.
  5. Remove the nut and bolt/cam bolt from the frame rail bracket and remove the lower suspension arm. See Fig 2.
