Injector(S), Fuel: Installation: Installation
- Clean the fuel injectors and recesses. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - CLEANING FUEL INJECTORS . .
- Using Mopar® White Lithium Grease, coat the shaft of the injectors (1).
- Using new sealing rings (2), install the fuel injectors into exact location of cylinder head.
- Install the fuel clamping claw (2) and a new bolts (1).
- Tighten bolts (1) to 15 N.m (133 in. lbs.).
- Plus an additional 90 degrees.
- Plus an additional 90 degrees.

NOTE:Any time a high pressure fuel tube has been loosened or disconnected, that high pressure fuel tube must be replaced.
- Remove the protective caps from the fuel rail and fuel injectors.
- Install NEW high pressure fuel tubes (2) at fuel injectors (1) and fuel rail (3).
- Tighten the high pressure fuel tubes (2) at fuel injectors (1) to 7 N.m (62 in. lbs.).
- Tighten the high pressure fuel tubes (2) and fuel rail (3) to 7 N.m (62 in. lbs.).
- Tighten the high pressure fuel lines (2) at fuel injectors (1) to 33 N.m (24 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the high pressure fuel lines (2) and fuel rail (3) to 33 N.m (24 ft. lbs.).
- Reposition and install the fuel injector return line and set the lock tab (1).
- Reposition the engine wire harness and push down to lock tabs (1).
- Connect the fuel rail pressure sensor harness connector.
- Connect the glow plug module connector (1) harness connector.
- Reposition ground wires and tighten bolts (3) to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).
- Connect the turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor harness connector (2) to bracket.
- Connect the turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor (1) harness connector.
- Install the air cleaner body.
- Connect the turbocharger actuator (1) harness connector.
- Position the fuel injector wire harness and push down to lock in place.
- Connect the fuel injector (2) harness connector.
- Connect the Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) (1) harness connector.
- Connect negative battery cable.
- Start engine and check for leaks.
- Install engine cover.
