Diesel 2.2L - Removal

WARNING:

Do not open the radiator draincock with the system hot and under pressure because serious burns from coolant can occur.

Remove the air intake duct.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Remove belly pan bolts.
Drain cooling system below upper radiator hose level.
Close off cooling system when the desired level is reached.
Install the belly pan.
Lower the vehicle.
Remove the upper radiator closure panel (2). Refer to PANEL, CLOSURE, UPPER, REMOVAL .
Remove the hood latch cable.

Remove the power steering fluid reservoir (2) mounting bolt (1) and position aside.

Remove the upper core support seal push pins (3).
Remove radiator core support bolts (1).

Disconnect upper radiator hose from radiator.
Remove the wiring harness from the fan shroud.
Disconnect radiator fan wire harness connectors.
Remove radiator fan module (1) by lifting up from the engine compartment.

Remove the lower (8) shroud seal.
Remove the fan blade retaining nut (4) from the fan motor.
Remove the fan motor (5) assembly from the shroud.
