Radiator, Engine Cooling: Installation: 2.4L

  1. Install the cooling fan assembly onto the radiator. Tighten to bolts 8 N.m (70 in. lbs.)

  2. Position the radiator into the lower mounting isolators (1) on the radiator lower support.

  3. Engage the jumper line junction block (1) to the radiator (2).

  4. Install the upper radiator mounts (1) and tighten the bolts (2) to 11 N.m (97 in. lbs.).

  5. Install the A/C condenser (1) to the radiator. Tighten the upper and lower bolts (2) to 8 N.m (70 in. lbs.).

  6. Install the A/C discharge (3) and liquid line (1) to the jumper line junction block (1) and tighten the nut to the proper SPECIFICATIONS .

  7. Install the service port bracket (1) and tighten the bolt (2) to the proper SPECIFICATIONS .
  8. Connect the A/C pressure sensor harness connector (3).

  9. Install the transmission cooler line support bracket bolt (1) and tighten to the proper SPECIFICATIONS .
  10. Install the upper radiator hose and tighten the clamp to the proper SPECIFICATIONS .

  11. Install the upper air deflector (1).
  12. Install the wiring harness (7) to the air deflector.
  13. Install the hood release cable (3) to the air deflector.
  14. Connect the horn electrical connectors (6).
  15. Connect the ambient air temperature sensor harness connector (5).
  16. Connect the cooling fan module harness connector (4).

  17. Install the side air deflectors (2) to the upper radiator closure panel (1).

  18. Install the radiator closeout panel (1).

  19. Install the lower air deflector (2).
  20. Install the lower coolant hose to the radiator connect the quick-coupling.
  21. Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  22. Install the belly pan, if equipped. Refer to BELLY PAN, INSTALLATION .
  23. Install the transmission skid plate, if equipped. Refer to PLATE, SKID, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
  24. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
  25. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  26. Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check cooling system for correct fluid level. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
