Module, Transmission Control: Installation: Installation

  1. Position the Transmission Control Module (TCM) to the vehicle for installation.
  2. Secure the TCM to the vehicle using fasteners.
  3. Connect the wiring harness connections to the TCM.
  4. Install the knee bolster/steering column lower panel. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Perform the TCM adaptation relearn. Refer to MODULE, TRANSMISSION CONTROL, MODULE PROGRAMMING .
