Arm, Pitman: Removal
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the track bar retaining bolt (2) at the frame and lower the track bar (1).
- Remove the pitman arm (1) retaining nut at the drag link (3).
- Using the Ball Joint Remover (special tool #9360, Remover, Ball Joint) (2) or equivalent, separate the pitman arm (1) from the drag link (3).
- Mark the steering gear (1) shaft and pitman arm (2) for installation reference.
- Remove the pitman arm retaining nut (3).
- Using the Ball Joint Press (special tool #C-4150A, Press, Ball Joint) (1) or equivalent, remove the pitman arm (2) from the steering gear
