Lower Intermediate Shaft

- Install the intermediate shaft to the vehicle.
- Install the lower intermediate shaft (3) to the upper intermediate shaft (1).
- Install a NEW
upper pinch bolt (2) and tighten the bolt to 49 N.m (36 ft. lbs.).

- Install the coupler (1) at the steering gear (2).
- Install a NEW
lower coupler pinch bolt at the steering gear and tighten the bolt to 49 N.m (36 ft. lbs.).
- Unlock the steering wheel.
- Reconnect the negative battery cable.
