Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Place the flywheel (2) in position on the crankshaft (1).
  2. While holding the flywheel against the engine, install the bolts (3) to hold the flywheel to the crankshaft flange (1).

    NOTE:

    Typical installation of 10272 shown in illustration.

  3. Install (special tool #10272, Tool, Flywheel Locking)
    NOTE:

    It may be necessary to install an appropriate length 10 MM bolt, washer and nut in place of the supplied 12 MM fastener. 

  4. Tighten the flywheel bolts to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install clutch pressure plate and disc. Refer to DISC, CLUTCH, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
