Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the RFH to the vehicle, then install and securely tighten the fasteners.
  2. Connect the wire harness connectors to the RFH.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  4. Secure the headliner back in the installed position.
  5. Secure the tailgate weatherstrip.
  6. If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
  7. Connect the diagnostic scan tool and perform the learning procedure.
