Up Stream 1.6L Diesel: Installation
WARNING:
The exhaust manifold, exhaust pipes and catalytic converter(s) become very hot during engine operation. Allow engine to cool before removing oxygen sensor. Failure to allow engine to cool before removal may result in personal injury caused by burns.
CAUTION:
When Equipped: The oxygen sensor (O2S) pigtail harness must be clipped or bolted back to their original positions on engine or body to prevent mechanical damage to wiring.
- Install the oxygen sensor (1) and tighten it to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS DIESEL .
- Install the gasket (2).
- Insert the wiring and close the retaining clips.
- Connect the oxygen sensor wire harness connector.
- Install turbocharger heat shield and securely tighten the bolts.
- Install the engine cover. .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
