Valve, Short Runner: Removal

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
Remove the intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL, 3.6L , MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL, 5.7L , or MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL, 6.4L .

Remove bolts (1) and the Short Runner Valve (SRV) actuator (2).

Remove and discard the SRV actuator rubber O-ring seal (1).
