Damper, Vibration: Installation

  1. Verify that the friction shim (1) is in position on the front of the crankshaft sprocket.

  2. Install the damper (1), washer (2) and NEW  bolt (3) on the crankshaft.

  3. Use the (special tool #2054400090, Holder, Front Damper 4 Finger SHALLOW) (2) and tighten the damper bolt to the proper torque specification. Refer to (TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS ).
  4. Install the right front wheelhouse inner splash shield and tire and wheel assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  5. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  6. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
