Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the driveshaft in the vehicle.

  2. Position the driveshaft support bearing to the body. Install the fasteners (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

  3. Position the driveshaft support bearing to the body. Install the fasteners (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

  4. Join the driveshaft with the pinion flange, aligning the index mark.
  5. Install NEW  driveshaft bolts (1). Tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Install a NEW  retention ring on the output shaft of the PTU. Lightly grease the splines of the output shaft.

  7. Install the driveshaft (1) to the PTU.
  8. Remove the jack stand and rotate the drivetrain in position.

  9. Install the rear torque strut fastener (1) at the transmission. Tighten to proper torque specification. Refer to ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS .
  10. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
