Installation - Backup Battery

  1. Position the backup battery (2) to the Emergency Assistance Module (EAM) (1) and connect the positive battery connector first, then connect the negative battery connector.
  2. Gently insert the backup battery (2) into the EAM (1).
  3. Install the backup battery cover (3).
  4. Install the EAM into the vehicle. Refer to MODULE, EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE (EAM), INSTALLATION .
  5. Start the engine and check if the "Service Required" indicator, or message, on the Instrumental Panel Cluster (IPC) turns off.
