3.0L Diesel

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the front skid plate. Refer to REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the transmission line bracket to generator fastener and position aside.

  5. Remove the nut (3) and the ground cable (2) from the generator.
  6. Disconnect the field generator connector (4).
  7. Remove the protective cover (1) from the B+ cable (6).
  8. Remove the B+ nut (5) and cable (6) from the generator.

  9. Remove the upper generator bolt (1), nut (2), and stud (3).
  10. Remove the two lower bolts (5) and the generator (4).
