Resonator, Exhaust: Installation: Diesel
- Clean the gasket sealing surfaces.
- Install a new flange gasket into pipe flange (4).
- Install the resonator assembly (3) and tighten the nuts (1) finger tight.
- Install the left side isolators (2) onto the resonator.
- The tailpipe should be centered in the rear fascia opening.
- Check the clearance between resonator and tailpipe assembly. Clearance is 16 mm (.62 in.).
- Tighten the flange nuts (1) to 32 N.m (24 ft. lbs.).
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
