Relay, Auto Shut Down: Removal

The Auto Shut Down (ASD) relay is located in the engine compartment within the Power Distribution Center (PDC). Refer to label on power distribution center cover for relay location.

  1. Remove the PDC cover.
  2. Remove the ASD relay from the PDC.
  3. Check the condition of the ASD relay terminals and the PDC connector terminals for damage or corrosion. Repair if necessary before installing the ASD relay.
  4. Check the ASD relay pin height (pin height should be the same for all terminals within the power distribution center connector). Repair if necessary.
