Power Steering Pressure Switch: Testing and Inspection

Spec Chart:

Test:

INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the PSP switch connector.
2. Connect an ohmmeter between the switch and the ground.
3. Start the engine and run it at idle. Check continuity of the switch while turning the steering wheel.
4. If not as specified, replace the PSP switch.

Replacement:

REPLACEMENT
1. Replace the PSP switch as shown in the image.

Tighten
Sensor to 19 - 21 ft lbs (25 - 29 Nm)
