EGR Boost Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Inspection





1. Apply a vacuum to the EGR Boost Sensor using a Vacuum Pump.





2. Using a digital voltmeter, measure the EGR Boost Sensor input signal to the PCM at connector C156 terminal 2.

Specification:
4.4 in. Hg (112.5 mm Hg, 15kPa): Approx. 3.87 V
11.8 in. Hg (300 mm Hg, 40kPa): Approx. 2.86 V
28.1 in. Hg (712.5 mm Hg, 95kPa): Approx. 0.42 V
31.0 in. Hg (787.5 mm Hg, 105kPa): Approx. 0.00

3. If not as specified, replace the EGR Boost Sensor.
