Keyless Entry System

System Diagram:

This system consists of a keyless entry receiver and transmitter. The receiver picks up the transmitted radio frequencies from the transmitter with sufficient power to operate the system and sends a pulse signal to the ETACS module, which controls the door lock motors horn, and interior lamps.

Battery voltage is always applied to the terminal A of the keyless entry receiver, which is grounded permanently at terminal B of the receiver. With the ignition switch "ACC" or "ON", battery voltage is applied to the terminal D of the receiver. When the UNLOCK or LOCK of the transmitter is pressed, the receiver sends a pulsed UNLOCK or LOCK signal to the ETACS for approximately 350 ms if IGNITION, KEYLESS and SET switch is OFF.

The door lock motors are powered and grounded by the ETACS for approximately 0.2 - 0.4 second, allowing door to operate at UNLOCK or LOCK position.
