Inspect Steering Linkage

1. Check steering wheel freeplay.

Maximum steering wheel freeplay 30 mm (1.181 in.)

2. Check steering linkage for looseness and damage as follows.
1. Tie rod ends do not have excessive play.
2. Dust seals and boots are not damaged.
3. Boot clamps are not loose.
