July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Control Circuit Inspection

  1. IG "OFF"
  2. Disconnect the Cooling fan relay (low)
  3. IG "ON" & ENG "OFF"
  4. Measure voltage between terminal 4 of the Cooling fan relay (low) harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification: Approx. 2.5V

  5. Is the measured voltage within specifications?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known-good ECM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace ECM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    NOTE: There is a memory reset function on scan tool that can erase optional parts automatically detected and memorized by ECM, Before or after testing ECM on the vehicle, use this function before reusing the ECM.
