SERVICE INFORMATION
This Pitstop provides information regarding a no-start condition due to a dead battery. It is recommended to jump start, or charge the battery in order to move the vehicle. If this is not possible, follow the procedure below to utilize the 'Shift Lock Release' button to move the shift lever from Park (P) to the Neutral (N) position. Refrain from forcing the vehicle out of Park (P) by pulling aggressively on the shift lever.
- Carefully remove the 'Shift Lock Release' tab using a pick tool.
- Press and hold
the brake pedal (A).
DO NOT release at this time.
- Insert a pick tool into the 'Shift Lock Release' hole and press down on the button located inside.
- Press the shift knob button and shift the lever to the neutral position.
NOTE:
Warranty claims submitted for shifter assemblies found damaged due to excessive force will be subject to warranty chargeback.
