Repair procedures: Disassembly

Remove the alternator cover(A).

Loosen the mounting bolts(A) and disconnect the brush holder assembly(B).

Remove the slip ring guide(A).

Remove the OAD (Overrunning Alternator Decoupler) cap. (With OAD)
NOTE: When installing, replace with new OAD cap.
Remove the OAD (Overrunning Alternator Decoupler) pulley (A) using the special tool. (With OAD)

Remove the nut and pulley(A). (Without OAD)

Loosen the 4 through bolts(A).

Disconnect the rotor(A) and cover(B).

Reassembly is the reverse of disassembly.
