Control Circuit Inspection

■ Open Or Short Check

IG "OFF".
Disconnect Brake Lamp Relay (Stop Signal Electronic Module).
IG "ON".
Measure voltage between Stop Lamp S/W terminal of brake lamp relay (Stop Signal Electronic Module) harness connector and chassis ground while applying/releasing brake pedal.
Specification: Apply: B+, Release: Approx. 0V
IG "ON".
Back probe and measure voltage between Stop Lamp signal terminal of brake lamp relay (Stop Signal Electronic Module) harness connector and chassis ground while applying/releasing brake pedal.
Specification: Apply: B+, Release: Approx. 0V
Are the measured values within specifications?
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
  YES
  
  NO
  - Repair open/short in control circuit between the brake lamp relay and HECU and then, Go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
