Repair Procedures: Removal
CAUTION:
- When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
- Eject all discs before removing the Audio head unit to prevent damaging the CD player's loading mechanism.
- When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool to prevent damaging the surface.
- Be careful of storing and handling the crash pad during removal/installation as lubricant and oil may leave stain on the trim.
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the crash pad center lower panel.
(Refer to Body - "CRASH PAD CENTER PANEL ")
- Remove the audio head unit (A) after loosening the screws.
- Remove the audio head unit after disconnecting the connectors and antenna cable (A).
NOTE: When the compact disc is not ejected, do not remove it forcibly.
