DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitoring deviation between target idle speed and actual engine speed during catalyst heating
  1. Checking leakage of air intake
  2. Checking operation of ETC
Enable Conditions
  • Catalyst heating - Engine speed increase active
  • Coolant temperature is between -10°C (14°F) and 33°C (91.4°F)
  • Time after start is longer than 9s
  • Vehicle speed is slower than 1.9 mi/h (3 km/h)
  • Pedal value is less than 0.01%
Threshold Value
  • Current RPM is lower than target RPM as much as 270RPM (Engine speed too low) or Current RPM is faster than target RPM as much as 500RPM (Engine speed too high)
Diagnostic Time
  • 4s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
