Repair Procedures: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 Kia Niro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
  • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
  • When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool not to damage the surface.
  • Be careful to store and handle the crash pad when removing/installing because lubricant and oil can leave a stain on the trim.
  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the Center Fascia Upper Panel.

    (Refer to Body - "CENTER FASCIA PANEL ")

  3. Remove the audio head unit (A) after loosening the screws.

  4. Remove the audio head unit after disconnecting the connectors and antenna cable (A).

    NOTE: When the compact disc is stuck, do not remove with force.
