July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Repair Procedures: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Kia Soul. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least thirty seconds before beginning work.
  2. Remove the glove box housing.

    (Refer to Body - "GLOVE BOX HOUSING ")

  3. Remove the passenger airbag mounting bolts (A).

  4. Disconnect the passenger airbag connector (B).
  5. Remove the crash pad.

    (Refer to Body - "MAIN CRASH PAD ASSEMBLY ")

    NOTE: Replace the crash pad which is damaged while PAB is deployed.
  6. Remove the mounting bolts from the crash pad and then remove the passenger airbag (A).

    CAUTION: The removed airbag module should be stored in a clean, dry place with the airbag cushion up.
