Repair Procedures: Inspection

WARNING:
  • Be sure to read and follow the "GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION & CAUTION " before doing any work related with the high voltage system. Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious electrical injuries.
  • Be sure to shut off the high voltage before doing any work related with the high voltage system (Refer to "HIGH VOLTAGE SHUT-OFF PROCEDURES "). Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious electrical injuries.
  1. Shut off the High Voltage circuit.

    (Refer to Hybrid Control System - "HIGH VOLTAGE SHUTOFF PROCEDURE ")

  2. Remove the air cleaner and air duct.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  3. Disconnect the power cable (A) and inverter power cable (B).

  4. Remove the DC fuse cover (A) after loosening the mounting hexagon head bolts.

    DC Fuse cover mounting bolt: 

    4.9 - 6.9 N.m (0.5 - 0.7 kgf.m, 3.6 - 5.0 lb.ft)

  5. Remove the seal cover (B) using a pliers (A).

  6. Check the continuity between ends of the DC fuse.

    Specification:  Less than 1Ω [20°C (68°F)]
