BSD system uses two magnetic wave radar sensors attached on the rear panel to measure the distance from the following vehicles and provide sensing and (visual and auditory) alarms for any vehicle that enters the blind spot.
- Blind Spot Detection (BSD): Senses other vehicles in the BSD zone and displays the BSD warning lamp on the side mirror to inform the driver.
Warning lamp blinks ON when driver turns on the turn signal lamp to enter the lane where another vehicle is.
- Lane Change Assist (LCA): Senses other high-speed vehicles entering the LCA zone and displays the BSD warning lamp on the side mirror to inform the driver.
Warning lamp blinks ON when driver turns on the turn signal lamp without recognizing any sudden approaching vehicle from the same direction.
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA): On detecting an approaching vehicle from the rear while reversing, it generates alarm to inform the driver.
