Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION:

When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.

Remove the trunk lid trim.
(Refer to " Replacement ")
Disconnect the cable (A) and connector (B).

Remove the trunk lid latch (A) after loosening the bolts.
Tightening torque:

6.9 - 8.8 N m (0.7 - 0.9 kgfm, 5.0 - 6.5 lb ft, 60.8 - 78.1 lb in)

Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure the hood latch release cable is connected properly.
- Make sure the trunk lid locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly.
