Repair Procedures: Removal

CAUTION: Do not remove the camshaft position sensor during engine running or right after engine stops, or a scald by the flow out engine oil may occur.

[Intake] 

  1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Disconnect the Camshaft Position Sensor (CMPS) connector (A).

  3. Remove the CMPS (A) after removing the mounting bolt.

Tightening torque: 

9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

[Exhaust] 

  1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the engine cover.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE COVER ")

  3. Remove the engine hanger (A) after removing the bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.3 lb.ft)

  4. Disconnect the CMPS connector (A).

  5. Remove the CMPS (A) after removing the bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
