The clock spring transmits the operating signal generated from the sensor installed in the front and side of the vehicle to the inflator (gas generator) of the airbag through the internal cables. It also delivers the signals from the steering wheel remote control switch and horn to the relevant systems through the internal cables.
NOTE:
In the event of an airbag deployment due to an accident, the heat and impact resulting from the explosion of the airbag inflator (gas generator) may damage the clock spring. The clock spring cannot be repaired or reused, so it should be replaced with a new one.
