Deployed Inside The Vehicle
- Turn the IG OFF, separate the auxiliary battery (12 V) (-) terminal, and disconnect the high voltage service interlock connector.
- Remove the front trunk pad (A).

- Remove the auxiliary battery (12 V) service cover (A).

- Separate the auxiliary battery (12 V) negative terminal (A) by separating the nut.
Tightening torque :
7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb.ft)

- Remove the high voltage service interlock connector (A).WARNING: Wait more than 5 minutes for capacitor of the high voltage battery system to be discharged completely.
- Remove the front trunk pad (A).
- Make sure the airbag is securely installed.
- Prepare to deploy the airbag or seat belt pretensioner as follows.
- Disconnect the airbag or seat belt pretensioner connector to be deployed.
- Connect the deployment adapter to the airbag or seat belt pretensioner.
Information
- For the Driver Airbag (DAB), disconnect the connector, connect the deployment adapter, and then reinstall it on the steering wheel.
- When using the deployment adapter, use it appropriately according to the deployment airbag.

- Workers should be at least 7 meters away from the vehicle.
- Connect the airbag deployment tool (0957A - 34100A) to the deployment adapter and then connect it to the external battery.

- Activate the switch of the airbag deployment tool to deploy the airbag.
- When connecting to an external battery normally, POWER ON (1) is turned on.
- If the READY (2) button illuminates while pressing the READY (2) button, press DEPLOY (3) button to deploy the airbag.
Information
When the airbag is deployed, loud noise is generated, visually confirmed, and after rapid inflation, it contracts slowly.
- Place the deployed airbag in a sturdy plastic bag and sealed securely, then dispose it.
