Component Inspection

WARNING:
  • When working on the high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
  • When working on the high voltage system or related components, be sure to observe and be aware of the "HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION AND CAUTION ". If not, it may cause serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
  • When working on high voltage system, make sure to check the PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) and HIGH VOLTAGE SHUT-OFF PROCEDURES .
  1. Turn the IG OFF and disconnect the low voltage (12 V) lithium battery positive (+) connector.
  2. Disconnect the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) connector.
  3. Measure resistance between the HO2S terminals.

    Front HO2S:  Pin 2 to Pin 5

    Rear HO2S:  Pin 3 to Pin 4

  4. Check that the resistance is within the specification.

    Front HO2S:  2.5 Ω (Room temperature)

    Rear HO2S:  5.4 - 6.6 Ω [18 - 28°C (64.4 - 82.4°F)]
