Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD)
EBD automatically adjusts the vehicle's braking bias according to vehicle speed, cornering force and cargo/passenger load. EBD operates in forward and reverse and is automatically enabled whenever modulator is in normal braking mode and vehicle deceleration rate is 0.3 g or more (medium to high brake pedal loads). EBD operation is similar to ABS operation, but is calibrated to intervene at lower wheel slip limits and operates brakes in axle pairs. EBD can help prevent brake lock-up before ABS actuation is required. During operation, brake pedal movement will stiffen.
