Removal & Installation (Front)

  1. Raise and support front of vehicle. Remove appropriate wheel. Disconnect sensor harness grommet from inner side of fenderwell and disconnect electrical connector. Pull harness through hole into wheel arch. Release harness from brackets on outer side of fenderwell, coil spring and front hub.
  2. Remove 2 bolts securing brake caliper to swivel hub. Remove caliper and tie aside with mechanic's wire. Remove screw holding disc to drive flange. Remove brake disc.
  3. Remove Allen screw and remove wheel speed sensor from front hub. Loosen 4 bolts holding front hub to swivel hub. Pull front hub from swivel hub out enough to allow sensor harness to be removed.
  4. Before installing, clean wheel speed sensor and mating surface. Apply anti-seize grease to wheel speed sensor. Lubricate and install NEW "O" ring on wheel speed sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Torque fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
