Security Locking Modes: Mislock

A mislock will occur when a door, hood or tailgate is not properly closed, the key is left in the ignition or an incomplete lazy locking is attempted (i.e. an obstruction is detected by a window or sunroof). A mislock condition is indicated by 2 short beeps from the alarm horn. If a mislock occurs, unlock vehicle using the key or remote transmitter and check instrument panel message center for a cause message. A cause message like SUNROOF BLOCKED will be displayed. Correct problem and relock vehicle.
