WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Land Rover Discovery, 2003 Land Rover Discovery, 2002 Land Rover Discovery, 2001 Land Rover Discovery, and 2000 Land Rover Discovery. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Prior to performing wheel alignment, perform preliminary visual and mechanical inspection of wheels, tires and suspension components.
Before adjusting alignment, check vehicle riding height. Riding height must be checked with vehicle on level floor and tires properly inflated. Refer to identification label located in driver's door jamb for proper tire size and inflation pressure. Bounce vehicle several times and allow suspension to settle.
Visually inspect vehicle for signs of abnormal height from front-to-rear and side-to-side. Remove heavy items from passenger and luggage compartments. If riding height is not within specifications or is significantly different from side-to-side, repair or replace suspension components as necessary. See RIDING HEIGHT SPECIFICATIONS table.
