Discovery II

  1. Roll vehicle backwards and forwards to settle linkage. Install alignment equipment according to manufacturer's instructions. Check toe adjustment. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS . If toe adjustment is not within specification, go to next step. If toe adjustment is within specification, ensure track rod clamp 8 mm bolts are tightened to 16 ft. lbs. (22 N.m) and 10 mm bolts are tightened to 24 ft. lbs. (33 N.m).
  2. Loosen clamp bolts at both ends of track rod. See Fig 1. Rotate track rod to increase or decrease toe adjustment. Tighten track rod clamp 8 mm bolts to 16 ft. lbs. (22 N.m) and 10 mm bolts to 24 ft. lbs. (33 N.m). Recheck front wheel alignment.
