Dismounting/Mounting Procedures: Notes

CAUTION: The tire should be dismounted from the wheel using the tire changer manufacturer's instructions. Use the following information to avoid damage during the dismounting/mounting procedures.
CAUTION: If a tire sealing fluid has been used the TPM sensor must be replaced.
CAUTION: Never use high pressure cleaning equipment on a wheel with a TPM sensor fitted.
NOTE: If tire inflation pressure has been changed, tire pressure sensor or TPM ECU has been replaced, or if a wheel has changed position (i.e., swapped axles or spare tire fitted as road wheel), the TPM system need to be reinitialized. See RESET PROCEDURES .
NOTE: It is strongly recommended that the valve seal and steel washer be replaced each time a tire is changed to avoid a seal failure.
NOTE: Tires should be inflated to specification only when tires are cold (ambient temperature). If tires have been subjected to use or exposed to direct sunlight, move vehicle into a shaded position and allow tires to cool before checking and/or adjusting pressures.
