CONDITION SUMMARY

Situation:  A customer may report a concern that the recipient of the Bluetooth telephone call cannot clearly hear the initiator of the telephone call. The recipient may describe the call reception as distorted or an echo can be heard during the conversation. The initiator of the call receives a clear reception.

This version has been issued for a change to the Suggested Customer Concern Code. 

Cause:  Equalizer file parameters incorrectly set within the audio front control module. Suggested Customer Concern Code JY7. 

Action:  Should a customer express concern, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION

CAUTION: This procedure requires SDD DVD139.04 and Calibration File 187 loaded or later.
  1. Connect the Land Rover approved battery support unit/power supply.
  2. Connect SDD to the vehicle and begin a new diagnostic session, by reading the VIN for the current vehicle and initiating the data collect sequence.
  3. Follow the SDD prompts.
  4. Where no internet connection is available.
    1. Select the Diagnosis Session Type.
    2. Select any of the following symptoms:
      • Electrical - Information and entertainment system - Telephone system - Outgoing calls cannot be heard
    3. From 'Recommendations', run: Configure existing module - Audio front control module
  5. When all tasks are complete, exit the current session by selecting the Session tab and then selecting the Close Session option.
  6. Disconnect SDD and the battery support unit/power supply.
