ISSUE
Apple CarPlay or Android Auto performance affected following a device software update
CAUSE
When Apple or Google release updates to their device operating systems, this may impact how the device communicates and interacts with JLR Infotainment systems through Wired and Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto.
ACTION
If CarPlay or Android Auto concern is found to have occurred immediately following a device update, the customer should be directed to the device supplier.
If the CarPlay or Android Auto concern is not found to be related to device update, root cause has not been determined and additional technical assistance is required, perform the following action:
- Download and complete the infotainment check sheet "CS022023 - Infotainment Diagnostic Check Sheet" located in TOPIx under Diagnostics - Diagnostic Check Sheet.
- Attach the completed Infotainment check sheet to the Technical Assistance case when submitted.
This will ensure accurate and detailed information on the concern is provided in the Technical Assistance case when raised. Thank you.
