Switch Continuity

  1. With wiper/washer switch off, continuity should exist between terminals No. 8 and 17 of 18-pin connector. See Fig 1. With wiper switch off and washer switch in MIST position, continuity should exist between terminal No. 14 of 14-pin connector and terminal No. 8 of 18-pin connector.

  2. With wiper switch in INT (intermittent) position and washer switch off, continuity should exist between terminal No. 8 and 17 of 18-pin connector. With wiper switch off and washer switch in MIST position, continuity should exist between terminal No. 14 of 14-pin connector and terminal No. 8 of 18-pin connector.
  3. With wiper switch in LO position and washer switch in MIST or OFF position, continuity should exist between terminal No. 14 of 14-pin connector and terminal No. 8 of 18-pin connector.
  4. With wiper switch in HI position and washer switch off, continuity should exist between terminals No. 7 and 14 of 14-pin connector. With wiper switch in HI position and washer switch in MIST position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 7 and 14 of 14-pin connector and terminal No. 8 of 18-pin connector.
  5. Press button at end of wiper/washer stalk, and check continuity between terminals No. 6 and 13 of 14-pin connector. Continuity should exist. If continuity is not as specified, replace wiper/washer switch.
