Electronically Controlled Transmission/Transaxle

This system electronically controls gear shift timing, clutch and brake hydraulic pressure and engine torque during shifting to achieve optimum shift feeling. A shift lock system is also incorporated to prevent possibility of incorrect operation of the transmission. The transmission ECM is located with the engine ECM inside a single unit.
