Installation

1. REINSTALL KNOCK SENSORS
- Using SST, install the knock sensor.
SST 09817-16011

Torque: 39 N.m (400 kgf.cm, 29 ft.lb.)

- Connect the knock sensor connector.





2. REINSTALL WATER OUTLET AND RH ENGINE MOUNTING STAY
- Install 2 new gaskets on the cylinder head.
- Install the water outlet with the 2 bolts, 2 plate washers and 2 nuts.

Torque: 15 N.m (150 kgf.cm, 11 ft.lb.)

NOTICE: Do not scratch the seal surface of the water outlet with the stud bolt.

- Connect the water bypass hose to the inlet housing.
- Install the wire band.
- Install the RH mounting stay with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 31.4 N.m (320 kgf.cm, 23 ft.lb.)

- Connect these hoses and connectors:
(1) Radiator inlet hose
(2) Engine coolant reservoir hose
(3) ECT sensor connector
(4) ECT switch connector
(5) Ground strap connector





3. REINSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY
- Install the intake manifold assembly with the 9 bolts, 2 plate washers and 2 nuts.

Torque: 15 N.m (150 kgf.cm, 11 ft.lb.)

- Connect the heater hose to the intake manifold.
4. RECONNECT INJECTOR CONNECTORS
5. RETIGHTEN WATER OUTLET MOUNTING BOLTS AND NUTS

Torque: 15 N.m (150 kgf.cm, 11 ft.lb.)

6. REINSTALL AIR INTAKE CHAMBER ASSEMBLY
