Ecu Power Source Circuit Test

NOTE: Use this procedure to check for problems in circuit between DOME fuse and power seat ECU.
  1. At driver's seat, remove bolts for front vertical adjuster. Lift front end of seat cushion slightly for access to power seat ECU (do not lift too far; harness clamp may come loose). Remove power seat ECU, but leave wiring harness connectors attached.
  2. Measure voltage (backprobe) between terminals No. 1 and 4 at driver's seat ECU connector "A". See Figure. If battery voltage is present, return to TROUBLE SHOOTING . If battery voltage is not present, go to next step.
  3. Measure resistance (backprobe) between ground and power seat ECU connector "A", terminal No. 4. If resistance is one ohm or more, repair open ground circuit. If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step.
  4. Check DOME fuse. If DOME fuse is blown, locate and repair short to ground in circuit between DOME fuse and power seat ECU. If fuse is okay, repair open circuit between battery and power seat ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
