Anti-Theft System: Description
WARNING:
Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
If one of following conditions occurs when anti-theft system is set (armed), system locks all doors, flashes headlights and taillights, and sounds alarm. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
- Unlocking door or trunk without using key or keyless entry system.
- Door, trunk lid or hood is forcibly opened.
- Battery cable is disconnected then reconnected.
